About Us

Founded in faith, bound by love, serving our community since 1951

Founded with love and devotion in the year 1951, our cherished church has long served as a beacon of faith, acting as a central parish hub that nurtures the spiritual growth of numerous neighboring communities. In the transformative year of 1985, we set forth on a mission, the construction of our current church, thoughtfully located at the intersection of the bustling US Highway 421 and NC Highway 115.

This mission was brought to life under the visionary guidance of Fr. John Schneider, and the tireless efforts of our devoted parish building committee, whose unwavering commitment and unyielding dedication saw the completion of our beautiful structure in early 1989. The joyous occasion was marked by the much-anticipated dedication ceremony, presided over by Bishop John F. Donoghue, on April 7th of that year.

This was not merely the opening of a new church building, but the beginning of a fresh chapter in our congregation's spiritual journey. Now, in this exciting era of renewal and transformation, we stand committed to deepening our connections - with our faith, with each other, and with the larger community. We aim to foster a spirit of unity and evangelization within the Wilkes area, embodying Christ's message of love and service.
